“I’m so scared, please come." Some of the final words of six-year old Hind after her murder by Israel and the IDF.

Girl who pleaded with Red Crescent to rescue her found dead along with several relatives and two paramedics who tried to save her

On January 29th Hind, traveling with an aunt, uncle and four cousins, came under fire in Gaza's Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood while they tried to escape. Hind and a 15-year old cousin Layan survived the initial attack. They called for emergency dispatchers as an Israeli tank approached their vehicle. Gunfire ended the call, and when dispatchers called back, Layan was dead, leaving Hind to answer the call.

From NBC News:

“Come take me. Please, will you come?” [Hind] could be heard imploring in a recording of the call, which was released by the Red Crescent. At one point, dispatchers asked her if she was surrounded by gunfire, and in a small voice, Hind replied, “yes.”

Surronded by the death of her family, Hind a frightened small child, did her best to continue speaking with dispatchers. They stayed on the phone with Hind for hours, as they tried to negotiate with the Israelis to rescue the girl.

The Red Crescent believed that they had secured permission to save the six year old, and sent first-responders Yousef Zeino and Ahmed al Madhoun to the scene. However, the organization could not keep in touch with Hind or her rescuers. Further emergency personnel were only allowed back once the Israeli military had withdrawn on Saturday February 11th. There they found Hind's body, along with her family's and the two Red Crescent first responders.

Again from NBC News:

Hamadah [Hind's mother] previously told NBC News that her daughter had dreamed of becoming a doctor and being able to help others.

But on Saturday, she said she could only hope her child can “rest in peace” — and that the pair will one day be reunited.

“I hope I see you in heaven, my baby.”

Do you support Israel and the death of Hind? Her death is unforgivable, but don't let it be for nothing.
